Danforth Art Maynard Building
A New Vision, A New Future
for Danforth Art Museum\School

Danforth Art is finalizing details with Framingham State University to become The Danforth Art Center at Framingham State University. Renovations will begin in April on the Jonathan Maynard Building to create the Center, slated to open in 2019. Administrative offices and Danforth Art School classes will be relocated to the FSU campus until the renovations are complete. The Danforth Art Museum will reopen in 2019 as part of The Danforth Art Center at FSU.

We're delighted to announce that a new installation of Figuration in American Art: Selections from the Danforth Art Permanent Collection is now open at North Hill in Needham, MA. Part II of the exhibition will feature works by Gerrit Beneker, May Stevens, Marion Pooke, Don Eddy (a detail of his C/VI/D (Then There Were Two) is shown above). Admission is free. LEARN MORE

Spring & Summer Studio Art Classes

Registration is now open for Danforth Art School’s Spring session of studio art offerings for adults, teens, and children and our SummerArts programs. We have updated the course listings. Please take note of our new registration process.

Danforth Art School and our administrative offices are currently located at 14 Vernon Street, in the Jonathan Maynard Building on Framingham Centre Common.

There are no museum galleries or exhibitions currently in this building.

Administrative Offices and the Danforth Art School will relocate to the Framingham State University campus in April. At that time, renovations will begin on the Jonathan Maynard Building to create The Danforth Art Center at Framingham State University, scheduled to open in 2019. Art Classes will be offered on campus but the museum will reopen with The Danforth Art Center at FSU.
