This year, Danforth Art Museum\School will serve a range of audiences in the MetroWest community through offsite outreach programming connected with Danforth Art’s Permanent Collection.
Danforth Art has committed to partnering with Framingham Public Schools to deliver in-classroom workshops for all grade 3 students. Connecting with the grade three social studies curriculum unit focusing on local history, this program will highlight the artwork of sculptor and longtime Framingham resident Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller (1877-1968). Student will look at reproductions of Fuller’s work, including a selection of 3D prints of sculptures, while discussing her life, artistic accomplishments, and legacy. Students will then make their own sculptures inspired by Fuller’s work.
These programs will be booked directly with the Framingham Public Schools, and will be free for all Framingham Public Schools third graders.
