In 2016, the Boston Globe said that Danforth Art was “in the fight of its life” following our sudden and unplanned relocation. Despite enormous physical and financial challenges, we persevered. Now we have a sustainable future for Danforth Art, thanks to Framingham State University, and the establishment of The Danforth Art Center at Framingham State University.
Donors like you provided critical, behind-the-scenes support that enabled Danforth Art to remain active while in transition. Our Permanent Collection remained on view through off-site exhibitions, we partially renovated the Jonathan Maynard Building to reopen our Art School, and we offered art education programs to the community. And we look forward to inviting you to the reopening of the Danforth Art Museum in 2019!
The University has been exceptionally generous in its support, but Danforth Art will continue to fundraise for museum exhibitions, museum programs and tours, and other offerings. Your dollars will support a fund restricted to use only for Danforth Art expenses. Honor a resilient legacy and strengthen our position for advancement with a tax-deductible contribution today. Our success depends on your support—thank you!
